Haiku Time, part 3

I like sandwiches,
but only ones made with bread,
i hate rubber ones.

That didn't make sense?
To you perhaps not me,
I know what I meant.

So I cut my hair,
and by cut I mean shaved off,
so now I am bald.

my sentences use,
as you may well have noticed,
Incostistant caps.

I want to write more,
but it's hard to think of stuff,
to haiku about.

It's December soon,
Christmas is fast approaching,
hurrah for presents.

I like to play games,
but some games are a bit poo,
not Limey Lizard.

One word can sum up,
one of the topics tonight:
inappropriate.

I am made of spoons,
the wooden kind not metal,
I am tired too.

it's after five now,
6 minutes to be exact,
man that was lucky.

I like to eat eggs,
I could eat them all day long,
but they make me fart.

Just eight more to go,
Then I will have done fifty,
it's taken ages.

Seven to go now,
I'm getting quite excited,
although I am cold.

Stupid winter nights,
I think I said that before,
I can't remember.

Haiku Time, part 2

Rather than append,
I thought I would start again,
So here is part 2.

See what I did there?
If you didn't: look again,
A haiku to start.

I feel good today,
But yesterday I did not,
I had a headache.

It caused me some pain,
But here I am once again,
I hope it don't rain.

The sky is quite dark,
it's not even five o'clock,
I hate winter time.

It never snows here,
not properly anyway,
it hasn't for years.

Oh wow look at that,
the sentences in that one,
they're all the same length.

Oh dear I can't think,
of things to haiku about,
out of steam already.

So I shall stop now,
and get more ideas later,
see you in part three.

Oh I just noticed,
they are only the same length,
in the edit bit.

haiku time

here are some haikus,
i hope that you enjoy them,
i will add more soon.

randumbs come sometimes,
mostly they're big poopie heads,
i like to kick them.

stickam is laggy,
i typed that ages ago,
when you were still here.

stickens is next year,
it's going to be awesome,
because i said so.

this thing doesn't work,
i just get some weird error,
stupid LGM.

Sylvr is better,
at writing haikus than me,
she's like a ninja.

a haiku ninja,
throwing words instead of stars,
now i'm stuck again.

bacon heart is gone,
it went icky and got chucked,
now it's all alone.

the laughing penguin,
has too many syllables,
now they're all used up.

both pilf and sylvr,
had/have annoying roomies,
with similar names!

i grew a moustache,
but it made me look silly,
so i shaved it off.

the big red bucket,
shall be the stickens mascot,
all hail the bucket!

a random said tach,
sylvr did some harpooning,
indie humped children.

what is tach you ask?
we all wondered that ourselves,
it was fun for all.

Okay, a short gap but now I will attempt to make some more haikus. Here goes...

Sylvr just said,
I have to write a haiku,
So I have. Happy?

Indie wants dinner,
but he's waiting for the shag,
oh wait he isn't.

Oh no could it be,
the anal alligators?
Retentive that is.

Hurrah that's three done,
and this will be number four,
the next will be five.

The fifth haiku's here,
looking forward to the sixth,
before the seventh.

Okay I cheated,
but only a little bit,
not like SOME people.

Here's to Sylvr!

It's strange, but I was just reading the latest entry on Sylvr's blog (which you can get to from this blog by clicking the Shades of Sylvr link), and it appears as though she's doing well and is more positive about things that have been bothering her. And for some reason this has made me feel happy and better about myself.
I do know that being around positive people can have a positive impact on you, but I never thought the same could be said about reading somebody's blog.
I guess it's because I know Sylvr and consider her a friend, and I do become concerned for how friends are feeling if they're not happy or if they're unwell, so it's really comforting to know she's happier atleast for today, and I really do hope she continues to be, because she deserves it. She's one of the nicest and funnest (not a spelling mistake) people I've come across in a long time, and I'm really glad that I got to know her (I really should be thanking both Haddas and Stickam for that, and that there are other people I feel the same about, but this post is just about Sylvr, so ner!), she's definitely brought more light into my life.
So here's to you Sylvr! May you long continue being happy :)

Stickams, Birthdays, Fireworks and Christmas...

Okay then, so I said I would probably update again at the end of the week and here I am a whole day early!

As the readers who know me are no doubt aware, Stickam is still being a big poopie face and there is absolutely no explanation why on the website as to why people are able to create rooms but not join them. Which to be quite honest with you I find appalling, as us users are now funding the site through advertisement they should keep us informed of technical difficulties.

But anyway, all that aside, it has been a rather mixed week for me.
I started the week off on a positive: I had got my sleeping pattern back in order and was looking forward to Kelsie's first birthday party.
The party was really nice, there was plenty of nice things to nom and Kelsie got lots of new toys, including an electronic quad bike thingy that she can ride on and kinda knows how to operate (she knows how to make it move forwards but has no idea about stearing or not running people over :D), and she really likes riding on it.
She also had a very nice looking Barbie birthday cake (I haven't actually had a bit of it yet despite the huge piece we have in the kitchen). Unfortunately everybody forgot to take a picture of it :/
There was also a little fireworks display, nothing too flashy, or bangy for that matter as they were low noise fireworks. Which just seems to mean they have much less gunpowder and sparkly stuff in them resulting in less bangs and fewer oohs and aahs, but there was something about their cheapness and lack of awesome that I found rather pleasing. They did manage to get pretty much everyone standing outside in a little bit of rain watching them until the last one had gone off, or not as it happens, because one of them didn't work, atleast not until later on when it got thrown into the bonfire (which was just a bunch of wood, paper and party rubbish thrown into a metal bin).
So yeh, it was a good day overall and Kelsie seemed to enjoy herself, she was still full of energy at the end of the night.

So that's the positive, now for the negative which is only actually slight but negative all the same: I seem to be slipping back into miserableness, which can partly be attributed to my feeling tired most of the time (I was only awake for 11 hours yesterday before I went back to bed and slept for 10 hours). The whole episode has me debating whether or not I should start taking my thyroxine again and/or go see my doctor.

Or it could just be this time of year as it's getting near christmas, and this is when the fact that I have no job or money starts to hit home, I have no christmas holiday to look forward to really, and I can't get presents for people (only my parents and now my niece really) and that's kind of got me a little depressed, even moreso when you factor in the fact that it's not because I'm not looking for work but due to there actually not being any in my town, and even if I did want to spend a third of my wages on travel expenses there isn't that much in the surrounding towns either.

I think another thing that could be contributing to my feeling fed up is that with the stickam situation I don't really have anything to take my mind off of things other than Spore, and I can only play that for so long (quite long really, but that's beside the point) until I get bored.
Oh well, sorry to end on a bit of a downer, I'm sure things will start to get better again soon. I hope they do.
-Boyd

edit: well it seemas if stickam is working again for the moment, hurrah.

He's The Laziest Lizard In Space

So, the first episode of Limey Lizard, Waste Wizard was released 4 days ago and has been generating a lot of positive feedback. Progz has really done a good job with it and it's a fun and funny little game, and I am really proud to have been a part of it. And to think, Limey Lizard was born through SHAG (Stickam Hour Adventure Game), then it evolved into a MAGS competition entry with an added mini-game, and from there it exploded into this short/medium length adventure game with full voice acting and a brilliant soundtrack. Perhaps I'm bias, but I would have to say that it is my personal favourite AGS game - and there are more episodes to come!

If you would like to check the game out for yourself, head on over to the game's thread on the AGS Forums at http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=35996.0

Also I was speaking to Grundislav (creator of the Ben Jordan series, and the voice of Mr. Hissington) a few days after the game's release and he congratulated me on the voice, and also said that if I was interested in doing more voice acting he could find a part for me in Ben Jordan Case 8, which is really awesome and I'd love to do it, I am even considering investing in a new higher quality microphone.

Anyway, enough about Limey Lizard for now. Time for a Boyd update: I am still doing pretty well, I'm just a bit tired at the moment because I've started to sort my sleeping pattern out, and the way I do that kind of has me exhausted for a few days as I generally stay up for as long as I can (which can be anywhere from 24 to 30 hours) and then just head to bed early and get a good sleep, then I try to stay awake until a reasonable time the day after. I stayed up for 25 hours yesterday, headed off to bed at 5pm and woke up at around 2:30am, so I've already been awake for over 11 hours. I'm hoping to not go back to sleep until later tonight but it's going to be tough.

But atleast this way I can be around more during the day.

Well that's it for now, I will probably update again at the end of the week.

Thanks for reading.
